I made this recipe to satisfy my dairy craving without hurting my stomach. The ingredients could easily be swapped for dairy if you so desired.
- 1 cup non-dairy 2%/Whole milk
- 3/4 cup non-dairy heavy cream
- 1/3-1/2 cup sugar
Whisk until sugar has dissolved completely.
- 2 tsp butterscotch syrup
- pinch salt
Mix in. Freeze flat 18-24 hours. Process on “ice cream” setting. Dig a small hole in the center for mix ins.
- 4-6 mini butterfingers, chopped
- 1 tbsp caramel syrup
Put toppings in hole. Process on “mix ins” setting. Enjoy, and try not to eat the whole pint in one go.
Edit, for everyone complaining about the sugar content:
I took the time to calculate out the exact sugar content in the pint I made, and have included it below. It’d be 91g of sugar, if you ate the entire (deluxe) pint at once. An entire pint of Ben & Jerry’s half baked ice cream is 111g sugar. Soooo my recipe is actually low in sugar as far as normal ice cream goes.
- 1 cup Lactaid 2% milk: 12g sugar
- 3/4 cup Califa Farms dairy-free heavy cream: 0g sugar
- 1/3 cup granulated white sugar: 67g sugar
- 2 tsp Syruvia sugar free butterscotch syrup: 0g sugar
- Pinch salt: 0g sugar
- Smucker’s Drizzle sugar free caramel syrup: 0g sugar
- 6 Butterfinger bites, chopped: 12g sugar
