Hi everyone,

I completed my MCA in 2024 and have a gap of about a year since then without any work experience. I’m now actively trying to get into the job market and would really appreciate some guidance.

My strongest skill is **Java**, and I’m comfortable with core concepts like OOP. I also have basic knowledge of **SQL** and a bit of **Python**, but I want to build my career mainly around Java.

Right now I’m confused about the best direction to take. I would really appreciate advice on:

* Which roles should I target as a Java fresher (backend, Spring Boot, etc.)

* What skills/tools I should learn next to become job-ready

* What kind of projects I should build to strengthen my resume

* How to explain my 1-year gap during interviews

I’m ready to put in consistent effort and build projects, just need clarity on the right path.

Thanks a lot!
