12 yr old hitting, anxious, can’t leave house without issue
My son is 12. He has been on Prozac for a while. We lowered his dose thinking that could be causing aggression. It helped a bit. We tried a stimulant with it due to fatigue and the aggression and he isn’t better. He tends to bother kids and struggle with impulse control. He now bugs younger kids and annoys them. He used to never be like this before medication.
His anxiety is through the roof unmedicated, but now his anxiety is controlled he is grouchy, short fused and seems to think everything is something to get mad about.
He is in therapy once a week. He gets tutored for his learning disability at a fantastic place, but he is a loose cannon with other kids who are younger than him and will swear or get mad or hit them when the insult him in the slightest way even if joking. This is not him and torture.
