Moving flats, rent payment and shenanigans

Hey people! After 6 months of zero cooperation from my landlady and somewhat slow procedures at the Jobcenter I managed to get my rent covered and they said they will retroactively pay my landlady for the past months! I paid form all my savings the rent, so I sent a dringend request to change this and give the money to me woh proof of my kontoauszüge that I was paying. Except for the fact they they have mistakenly written the IBAN of the landlady (....) I asked to change and pay the rent to me so I transfer it to her, is this generally possible?

Additionally, I have to move out with my partner to a new flat (in Berlin, good luck). We are not a bedarfsgemeinschaft, so I would need to show that the jobcenter can cover (part of) the rent, how does this work?! Luckily he has a high income now but will be reduced to 75% later on unfortunately. Has anyone been in a similar situation and has any tips?

People that moved from Germany to Spain, I NEED YOU!

Hello people! I have been living in Germany the past 10 years for studies and a PhD in natural sciences. Since day one everything has been a huge effort and the PhD combined with the 1.2 years long unsuccessful job search is extremely draining. My german is in a B2 level simply because I was working too much to have time for that (I would do it differently now tbh). It's so bad I now will start working at service or so to get by. I never felt like home in Germany, I am a southerner. My heart the last years tells me have a new start in Spain. It's the only language I would love to learn, I actually tought myself some and my partner now is Spanish speaking- he would also be happy working there. I think it's realistic to build a professional C1 level in 2 years, so I can start preparing soon, while living in Germany until then I guess. If you made a similar move please share your experience. Was it worth it? Did it make you happier? What were the true challenges and what were the best and the worst things you encountered in Spain? Any experience sharing would be highly appreciated. Please be kind and show love (I 'm saying it to prevent th germans that shame me for not speaking C2 german !)

Any international medical writers here?

Hello people! I finished my PhD and would like to get into some sort of communication job, particularly medical affairs or something that would get me into it later. Usually these jobs require (fair enough) near native german skills, which I don't have yet. I really enjoy writing and engagement so I thought about medical writing but I am not sure how to approach entry level medical writing. Many positions require C2 german as well but I thought it depends on which kind of field within medical writing you are? Is anyone here working as a medical writer primarily in english that can share their experience?

No Pharma/Biotech jobs: What now?? HELP!!

Ok, so I am a PhD graduate at the interface of chemistry and biology aiming at pharma/biotech positions but there has been no luck for over a year. I am already on bürgergeld, which.. because of some miscommunication they don't even cover my rent yet. In 4 months I even have to change flats (living in Berlin-good luck with that). I have full proficiency in English and a B2 level of german (and native Greek but no one cares). I need an income and I am clueless on how to find random jobs-not even sure if they "ll pull the whole "overqualified" thing. Ideally some position with transferable skills like customer engagement etc. Any tips generally? The frustration is next level.
