Nike Vomero Premium vs. Vomero Plus as my ONLY shoe?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to pick up a new pair of running shoes and I'm totally torn between the Nike Vomero Premium and the Nike Vomero Plus. I know these are on the pricier side, but I really like them and don't mind spending the money for the right feel.

For context: I’m not a hardcore runner and I don't have any ambitious race goals. I run purely for health, usually twice a week doing about 5–10k at a relaxed ~6:00/km pace. I don't do shoe rotations, whichever one I buy will be my single, everyday shoe. I also tend to land on the front/mid of my foot.

Here is my dilemma after trying them both on:

Vomero Premium

  • The Good: I absolutely love the softness. Because I land on the front of my foot, that massive cushioning and support in the forefoot feels incredible and makes a really great impression on me.
  • The Bad: Since it has such a massive stack height and is so squishy, I'm a bit worried about the overall stability and versatility. Can this actually work well as an everyday, one-shoe rotation?

Vomero Plus

  • The Good: The overall upper fit actually feels a bit better and more secure on my foot because I naturally prefer a narrower shoe.
  • The Bad: When I land on the front of my foot, the cushioning just doesn't feel nearly as supportive or plush as it does in the Premium.

Does anyone here have a good amount of miles in the Vomero Premium? Did stability ever become an issue for you? Given my casual mileage, 6:00/km pace, and forefoot strike, would you recommend sacrificing the narrower fit of the Plus to get that sweet forefoot cushioning of the Premium?

Any experiences or advice would be hugely appreciated! Thanks!
