How to win when counter picked

MATCH ID: 8820231397

Hey all! I’m looking for an honest feedback on how to improve.

I was playing Necro in this game. My strategy to improve is to isolate aspects of the game one by one, so I’ve been spamming Necro mid every game. In this particular game I played vs really bad matchups: ancient apparition and sniper. Both side lanes lost but I felt Il that even with these circumstances a better player (Smurf) would have been able to carry.

I would appreciate any feedback on how to carry games like these, where you are out draft, where your team is loosing. What would a Smurf do to win a game like this (other then click buttons better than me). This is a very low elo game.

Thank you in advance :)

How good is Leshrac in current meta and overall?

I'm trying out new heros to play mid in low elo brackets (herald and guardian). I'm still looking for a hero that I like to play and that has a lot of solo carry potential. Games at this level are very chaotic and with so many mistakes some times is hard to apply concepts I find on Youtube (also I'm a noob kkkk hence my elo).

From my researches I think heros that can push lanes fast and safely are extremely valuable, they also need a way to take objectives, specially towers. From just a couple of games I played lesh is ok at pushing waves (can't to it from fog) and is great at pushing towers. But he seemed like a high skill floor hero, specially because he is low range and glass cannon.

I've tried zeus, sniper and viper so var. Zeus and viper don't have anything that helps taking objectives, that is why I'm still looking. Sniper also seems like a good fit for it. I'm still considering being main sniper mid.

Open to any advise :)

How to carry vs people that don’t know the game?

Hey all,

It’s me once more. Recently returned to the game and looking to climb.

I’m still unranked, and the games I’m playing are very chaotic. Most of the time my teammates and the enemies don’t know how to play the game.

For example I was playing a lot of support and trying to improve wave management, but in a handful of games I was starting a pull and my carry would come and start hitting the creeps, stoping it.

Another very common issue is not knowing how to go high ground. Either going up and dying or never going up.

I’m looking for some tips on what I can do to carry myself out of this place so that I can start playing with another level of bad players hahaha but that at least know a bit more about the game.

I tried Zeus mid, had good results but lost games to the second problem of going high ground

Best position to learn the game

I’m returning to the game after 10y, I have a lot to learn. I was trying to learn the game playing support but I was getting stomped constantly, losing almost every match. My last 3 games I played Zeus mid and was able to win all 3.

My main focus is to improve in the long run, but I’m not playing ranked games yet and if possible I wanna start at a better Mmr than herald. So I want to be able to win in the short/medium term as well.

What are your suggestions on a good approach for good results short and long term?

Thank you!

How to choose your hero pool

Hey all,

I’m looking for some advise on how to choose my hero pool. I’m fairly new to the game and I’m looking for a 3 heros to play at pos 4 and 5.

I started by looking at some tier lists and saw many suggest spirit breaker. I tried it and it was a disaster.

I had the most success with shadow shaman, lion and jakiro (at some degree). I’m wondering if you guys have any tips on how I could choose my hero pool. I plan to span the same hero as much as possible til I get better at the game.

What is the best strategy to climb considering Role Queue tix limitations?

Hey all! I'm returning to this game after a 10 year break. I want to improove and climb the ladder as casual player.

I want to understand how to climb considering that you will need to play in random positions often. When selecting all 5 positions, you will most likelly be put into 5 or 3, the two priority queues. Let's assume I'm pos 1 main and I'm puting effort into learning how to play with those heros. Then I have to play as pos5, and will probably lose a lot of these games, I would need around 70% winrate with the other games playing pos1 to stay at 50% win rate and get stuck.

I'm I getting something wrong? How I am supposed to climb like this? This is considering only solo games
