Hi All, I was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience. Around Feb last year I had the mirena put in. This was due to ovarian cyst on my right side post surgery. About a month after my mirena insertion, I developed swollen lymph nodes in my groin and neck, as well as right sided chest pain. Obviously no doctor knew the answer but most assured me it could not be related. I had a fine needle biopsy and it came back as reactive hyperplasia. Multiple tests, ultrasounds etc have all come back negative/clear. Since then I have experienced more swollen lymph nodes in my pelvic region/lower stomach and breasts asymmetrically. They don’t necessarily grow in size but are greater than 2cm in certain areas, however none reduce down once enlarged. I can’t help but think perhaps my body is rejecting the Mirena or has triggered some sort of autoimmune response. Has anyone else had an experience like this or know what has caused it, or know what I should do? I am Negative to all major bacterial/viral tests.
