New Polymarket wallet just put $680K on Atlético Madrid

The wallet is barely a day old, and its first major position is already $680K on Atlético Madrid to beat Málaga.

The trader entered at 67¢, putting a huge amount behind a single match.

If Atlético win, the position pays out around $1.02M, meaning roughly $342K in potential profit.

That's a pretty aggressive way to start a brand-new Polymarket wallet.

One account, one fresh deposit, and nearly $700K riding on one football match.

A trader up $55K in the last month just loaded $40K across three matches at the Cincinnati Open

A wallet that's already up around $55K in the last month just put another $40K across three Cincinnati Open matches.

The positions:

$19.3K on Rafael Jodar at 71.7¢
$13.9K on Mirra Andreeva at 54.4¢
$7.3K on Lorenzo Musetti at 72¢

If all three win, the total payout would be around $61K, for a potential profit of roughly $21.6K.

The Jodar position is the biggest one, with nearly $20K going on a 71¢ favorite. The price has already moved up to around 73¢.

Andreeva is much closer to a coin flip, while Musetti is also being backed as a strong favorite.

There aren't any huge longshots in the mix. Just three favorites, $40K in total exposure, and three matches that still have to go right.

The wallet has made around $55K over the past month, with 506 predictions and a biggest win of about $44.2K.

Do all three hold, or does one of these positions spoil the run?

POV: You create an account, make one trade, and put $22K on Jesus returning before 2027

This trader has $22,000 on Jesus Christ returning before 2027, bought at 4.4¢.

If the market resolves in their favor, those shares would pay roughly $500K.

The market has since moved down to around 2¢, but the trader is still holding the position.

No hedge, no other market, no attempt to spread the risk. Just one trade with a potential $478K profit if the outcome goes their way.

It's probably one of the most concentrated Polymarket portfolios I've come across.

If you could only take one position on Polymarket, what market would you choose?

This trader turned $73k into $2.25m in 2.5 months. Then lost $2.9m in two days.

The wallet deposited around $73K in June and mostly traded sports and esports markets.

Over the next 2.5 months, the account kept climbing until it reached roughly $2.25M at its peak.

Then August 12 and 13 happened.

The wallet lost about $2.9M across those two days, including a $1.7M loss on August 12 and another $1.2M on August 13.

August 14 was essentially flat at -$396, followed by another $153K loss on August 15.

That's a pretty wild turn after watching a $73K starting balance grow into millions in such a short time.

It took weeks to build the gains, but only two days to give most of them back.

Can this wallet make another run, or was this the peak?

Democrats could win Alaska's Senate seat for the first time since 2008

A month ago, Mary Peltola was sitting around 70% on Polymarket to win Alaska's Senate race, while Dan Sullivan was at roughly 30%.

Now Peltola is at 53%, while Sullivan has climbed to 47%.

Alaska's August 18 primary put both candidates through to the November election, with Peltola leading the initial count at around 48% to Sullivan's 42.8% with 80% of the vote counted.

The polling isn't giving anyone a clear answer either. A recent Data for Progress poll had Peltola ahead 53%-47%, while the earlier NYT/Siena poll had Sullivan ahead 47%-45%.

And that's what makes this race worth watching.

Alaska hasn't elected a Democratic senator since 2008. Peltola now has a chance to change that, but the market has already shown how quickly this race can move.

Could Peltola really make history in November?

This trader just put $304K behind J.D. Vance for 2028

A trader is taking a very concentrated view of the 2028 election.

Around $201K is sitting on Vance to win the Republican nomination at 37.7¢, with a potential payout of roughly $534K.

Another $102K is on Vance to win the 2028 presidential election at 19.3¢, worth about $532K if it hits.

So this isn't just a positions on Vance winning the Republican primary. The position is basically built around one larger idea: Vance becomes Trump's successor and eventually makes it all the way to the White House.

Vance is already leading the Polymarket Republican nomination market, while also sitting at the top of the broader 2028 presidential market.

But there's still a long way to go. The trader has locked up more than $300K in positions that may take years to resolve.

That's a lot of capital sitting on one political thesis.

Would you lock up tha big capital this early on a single candidate, or spread it across the 2028 field?

A trader with $8.76M in sports profit just put $101K on Machac

I was checking the live Tomas Machac vs. Pablo Carreno Busta match and noticed a pretty serious position sitting on Machac.

Someone has $101,200 on Machac at 46¢. If he wins, the position pays around $220K.

The trader behind it is already up $8.76M in sports profit, with 7,003 predictions and a biggest single win of around $2.1M.

Machac was below 50¢ when the trader entered, so this wasn't a case of simply backing an overwhelming favorite. Six figures went in while the market was still giving the other side a better-than-even chance.

What did this trader see in Machac that others weren't seeing?

Rogers is ahead in the polls. So why is El-Sayed still favored?

I was looking at the latest numbers from Michigan, and something doesn't quite add up.

A new Fox News poll has Mike Rogers leading Abdul El-Sayed 51% to 47% among registered voters.

But the market is telling a different story. El-Sayed is still at 57% to win, while Rogers is at 44%.

And this isn't because Rogers has been stuck at 15%. Back in April, the market had El-Sayed at around 85%, with Rogers at just 15%. Rogers has managed to close most of that gap since then.

The latest poll says Rogers may have finally moved into the lead. Traders, at least for now, aren't convinced.

Maybe the market is slow to react to the shift. Or maybe this poll is showing something other surveys aren't.

If you were looking at this race today, would you trust the latest poll or where traders are putting their money?

Trump asked Netanyahu how he's polling and Netanyahu couldn't even answer himself

According to axios reporter barak ravid, when netanyahu met trump in the oval office two weeks ago, trump asked him directly how he was doing in the polls ahead of the october 27 election.

netanyahu reportedly paused. then one of his own advisers stepped in and told trump "he is winning" on his behalf. trump still hasn't given him the endorsement he's been fishing for, despite reporters asking about it repeatedly.

prediction market is telling a pretty different story than that advisor did.

gadi eizenkot is leading with 54% to be sworn in after the election. netanyahu is sitting at just 28%. lieberman and bennett are both around 6% each.

when your own advisor has to answer for you in a room with the US president, and the market has you a distant second, that's not exactly a winning look.

Elon tweeted so much overnight that this Polymarket market went from 6.5% to 96%

I checked this market last night and didn't expect to see a move like this.

The 180-199 tweets range was at just 6.5%. Within a few hours, it jumped to 96%.

Elon is already around 182 tweets, with only a few hours left in the window. The 200-219 range has dropped to around 4.4%, while the other ranges have almost completely disappeared.

As the tweet count climbed, the other outcomes started disappearing one by one.

Has anyone traded the Elon tweet markets before? Do you see any pattern in them, or is it basically random?

Enzo Fernández is now the favorite to join Manchester City

Enzo Fernández is now at 54% on Polymarket to join Manchester City.

The timing makes this market especially interesting. City are preparing for the possibility of Rodri leaving for Barcelona, and Fernández has emerged as one of their preferred options to replace him.

But there is a big obstacle: Chelsea are demanding £120M and have given City until 5pm Friday to make an offer if they want to get the deal done.

There are also conflicting reports over whether City have actually made an offer yet, with some reports claiming a €120M bid while others say no formal bid has arrived.

So the market is giving Fernández a better-than-even chance of moving to City, while Chelsea are putting a very clear price on the deal.

A trader made $157K without opening hundreds of Perps positions

I was looking through the Polymarket Perps leaderboard and found a trader whose numbers don't really match the usual high-volume profile.

jumbojet9090 is up around $159.6K all-time, with $70.3K made in the last 30 days.

The account has more than $410K in open positions and over $410M in trading volume, but has opened just 26 positions.

Most of the exposure is concentrated in tech names like NVDA, AMD, ARM, AAPL and META, along with BTC and ETH.

That's what makes the account interesting. The trader isn't constantly opening and closing hundreds of positions. They're putting serious size behind a small number of trades.

It makes me wonder if the edge here is the number of trades, or simply knowing when to put serious size behind a position.

Would you be comfortable putting hundreds of thousands behind just 26 trades?

Lula is back in front on Polymarket, but this race has already flipped once

Lula is now at 64% on Polymarket, with Flávio Bolsonaro at 28%.

But this race looked very different a few months ago. Lula started out ahead, then Flávio made a huge move in May and briefly became the favorite, reaching around 45% on Polymarket.

Then the Flávio Bolsonaro and Daniel Vorcaro scandal hit. Reports and leaked audio about Flávio seeking millions from the former Banco Master chairman for a film about his father triggered a sharp drop in his polling numbers and market odds.

Now the market has swung back toward Lula, who has more than twice Flávio's current odds. Recent polling also has Lula ahead, although some surveys show the gap is still relatively close.

The interesting part is that we've already seen this race flip once. Could Flávio make another comeback, or has Lula finally pulled away?

This whale is up $74K today after trading both sides of tennis matches

I think I found an interesting wallet because it doesn't seem to be trying to simply predict who wins.

The account is up around $74.5K over the past day, and looking through its positions, there's a clear pattern. It actively trades price movements during live matches instead of simply holding one side until settlement.

The Kostyuk vs. Świątek match is a good example.

The trader bought $4,824 of Kostyuk at 4¢, while also putting $98,883 on Świątek at 70¢.

When Kostyuk's price moved higher during the match, the trader sold that position for a huge gain, locking in roughly $26K while still holding the much larger Świątek position.

So the goal wasn't necessarily to pick the winner.

It was to buy when the market moved too far in one direction and sell when the price swung back.

And this doesn't look like a one-off. The wallet currently has positions across several tennis matches, including Draper vs. Landaluce, Milavsky vs. Butvilas, Norrie vs. Prizmic, and Maria vs. Yastremska, alongside MLB and Counter-Strike positions.

I'm not sure how sustainable this is. It looks brilliant when the price swings go your way, but keeping up this approach across multiple sports and live matches seems like a completely different challenge.

Would you follow a trader using this strategy, or is it too dependent on catching the right price swings?
