Hello! We recently planted some trees in central Minnesota area two weeks ago. The first two pictures are maple trees, the third is a small crab apple, and the rest are pillar birches. We planted them too deep as we didn’t know about the root flare recommendation. Just curious if these will be alright or if it’s worth replanting them? We weren’t sure about the added stress this late in the season before winter if we replanted. Thank you!

I tried to build this gate correctly with the diagonal support beam and hinges that are rated for 2-3x the weight of the gate (each hinge is rated for 50 lbs). However, after about 2 weeks my gate has sagged around 1 inch and I’ve had to slowly move down the latch so it closes, but it still continues to sag. Does anyone have any suggestions? The gate is about 39 inches wide and 27 inches tall. Thank you in advance!

Edit - for those wondering why the diagonal brace is the way it is, I followed this YouTube video
(first time trying anything like this!). From the comments it seems the best thing to do would be lower the hinges below the diagonal brace, make sure the hinge 2x4 is properly supported, and if that doesn’t work I will try recreating the diagonal brace so it goes into the bottom of the gate not the side (on the hinge side). Thanks again!

I was wondering if anyone else has mounted their kayaks like this for storage? I am worried since there is no support in the middle it may damage it over time. The kayak is secured so it doesn’t move around in the wood mount. I am also planning on getting pool noodles to put over the wood to protect the kayak. Any thoughts would be great thank you!

I live in Minnesota and was told that sprinkler lines up here are generally buried roughly 14 inches below ground. I had the yard aerated today and one of the lines got punctured. After digging it up to my surprise the line was only 5 inches below the ground. These were installed about 2 years ago. Is this against industry standard?
Also as far as the repair goes, I plan on 1) shutting of the water 2) cutting the punctured section 3) inserting a coupling with the metal hose clamps on either end. Am I missing anything?
