In hindsight I shouldn’t have fallen for this. But I was so desperate I decided to trust this man anyways. He said he’d send me $400 if I sent $98 to his sister in Kenya. He sent me the $98 to send to her. I should have just kept that money and blocked him. But I decided to try and get the $400 I was promised. So stupid of me. I sent the $98 to the sister and now his Reddit account has been deleted and he is not responding on discord. I really needed that money so badly. My utilities are being shut off in just a few hours if I cannot pay this bill. I feel so incredibly dumb. Learn from my mistake and do not trust anyone that says they’ll send more money after you send to somebody else. PayPal sent me an alert that said an invoice I received was fraudulent and then I had a declined transaction due to insufficient funds for a site I’ve never heard of or visited myself. No clue how he could’ve gotten into my account because I never gave him any details. Now I’m in an even bigger hole and kicking myself for it.
PLEASE!! I know I am new and don’t have a history. But by God Almighty I really am begging on my hands and knees. I have 3 small children. The utility company will be out here tomorrow to shut off our utilities and follow that our landlord will be evicting us for not being able to pay them. I have been trying to DoorDash to make enough to pay it but I haven’t been able to earn enough. I don’t care what you need from me to verify I’m a real person. Please I just need to pay this utility bill.
