Complained that paypal put her money on hold. Refunded it and asked if I could send it to a family members account. I allowed it because she showed proof of a conversation with that person saying they were happy to do this (maybe a daft choice on my end but hey, live and learn).

That account also had it on hold. And now, with all the refunding etc the repayment date would happen before the money would get released.

Claimed the cousin would refund. Hadn't happened by the next day when I pointed out that as far as I'm concerned, I've fulfilled the loan (because my money is out of my control) and if she didn't refund it then I would be expecting the interest too.

Again "yep, family member has refunded" which wasn't true

Then no response

PayPal reclaim successful. They originally ruled against me but I questioned how they'd supplied tracking info and 10 minutes later, I've been refunded

Another case of "He was really good until he wasn't". Did a few loans, paid back on time. This last loans due date came up and it was "I forgot, can we make it on my next pay day?" You know the rest of the story, nothing and no communication......

Shame to do this for about $30.

Please be aware of **Proctorfan123**, who appears to be posing as a responsible and "verified" lender by providing fake evidence to gain people's trust.
He asks for a £25 deposit, claiming it is required to release a loan or other funds. After that he continues demanding additional money, making various excuses and insisting that more fees must be paid before the funds can be released.
He is using a 9-year-old account, which may make him appear more credible.

Please don't send him any money, and report the account if you come across it. Stay safe and help spread awareness so others don't become victims.
