I sent her the amount and she stopped responding since after clearly telling me that “I’ll hear from her in the next few hours.” It’s been over a day and she has yet to give me a reply here on Reddit or IG or PayPal.

I have her full name and other contact info. The sad part is it’s for an amount as low as $10. I lent money for the first time to two people yesterday because they wrote in detail about their hardship and sadly both scammed me. Thanks to these kind of people, I’ll never ever loan money out online ever again.

Had an unexpected medical event earlier this month and the costs of uncovered meds and copays took away from grocery and necessities. Hello all. I'm currently out of work awaiting surgery on my rotator cuff (surgery Friday!) My wife is keeping us afloat until my short term disability kicks in. I signed up for an undergrad certificate course through my jobs benefit, Guild. Everything for college was covered except a $60 subscription to Codio. Since this is an undergrad certificate course, I'm unable to apply for financial aid. I can't afford anything extra right now, so this determines if I'm able to attend college or be forced to withdraw. I'm dealing with a quick timing gap before my next pay and need to pick up a few grocery items. I’m looking to borrow $50 via e-transfer and can pay back $60 on 08/28.

To keep my hands busy and make extra funds, I’ve started my own little shop where I make some pretty cool bead scenes, keychains, and miniatures. There is a craft fair coming up next weekend and, at first, I didn’t think I’d be able to make it because I don’t really have the extra funds right now to get the other materials I need to actually make a solid inventory.
