12 Credit Hours this Summer over at Red Rocks + FAFSA over the summer?

I'm planning on taking: Is this a good idea?

  • Statics
  • Calc 3
  • Physics 2
  • HASS electives

Long rant:

So I barely failed statics with a 69 yesterday. Still stuper frustrated about that. I'm really disappointed that Dr. Guerra ignored me over email. It's insane, I went to his office hours every few days, and asked a lot of questions in his 8 am class. I thought he was a nice guy, and he really did seem like a super nice guy in office hours, but no matter how much he helped I still never did well in their exams. I can't believe he would ignore someone who cared and showed up in office hours from email. Maybe the lesson is to stop going to office hours to professors that don't care about you. I feel really betrayed by him.

Last question:
Also, I asked this in the r/FAFSA sub a few days ago and got no response. How does financial aid work over the summer? I have already applied max federal aid over my Spring semester.

If I choose to take classes at a CC over the summer to transfer in credit to my main Uni, do I still qualify for aid?

I'm intending on taking about 9 Credit Hours, but I'm not sure if I can receive anymore aid if I got aid from Spring 2026 during my original Uni. I don't want to spend $4k over the summer I don't have.

At least in physics there were free iclicker questions, not statics though.

I don't think I have taken a class that has done that. Maybe this is why I like frqs better because there's partial credit.
