How do people survive?

I'm once again waiting for my PIP Tribunal. It's been 18 months so far. How are people doing this? Like I feel like I must be missing something. I can't work due to disability, but because I live with my partner, I also can't claim UC because his wages would effectively cancel it out. He's not on a big salary though (30k a year) How do people survive the wait to Tribunal? If they don't grant me PIP again, what am I meant to do?

I feel like I'm out of options here. Some years back I had a friend who took his own life due to the stress PIP put him through but I never understood why, until I had to go through it myself.

Aside from the obvious "Shop at Aldi" or "Lower living costs" has anyone got any tips or tricks? My MIL keeps telling me I could "do something" or "work from home" but I already train AI when I can and it's neither consistent or well paid.

Tribunal Rescheduled :-(

Waited eighteen months for my Tribunal but the disability specialist didn't turn up. I was asked if I wanted to go ahead anyway but I said no as I felt the panel would have been biased against me. The DWP sent someone as well.

Do you think I made the right call? My previous award was given at Tribunal and the dwp want to disregard this decision.
