Hi, I have a basement floor drain that tends to get backed up when my washing machine empty’s. All other drains in the house drain fine, but when the washing machine empty’s I get an overflow.

I had a plumber come out about six months ago and auger the drain, I was wanting to try it myself before having them come out again but I’m not sure what auger to rent/ purchase. Thanks in advance for your help.

About every five months or so my basement drain starts to drain slow and will back up if I’m running a load of laundry. Will this auger be sufficient to knock out the buildup that’s occurring in my drain. I had a plumber come before with a much larger machine but would like to handle it on my own if possible.
