I am clan tier 3, have merely 63 troops of mostly khuzait khan's guards (this is after taking the castle), and I've taken a rebelling state castle, meaning I am not at war with anyone. What should I do to increase profits, make sure the castle stays mine, etc?

New player, became a mercenary of the battanians and am racking up some gold (13k rn). What should I spend my money/save up for first?

I'm trying to convert my game to one of the earlier updates as apparently it helps with the game not breaking every two seconds and it needs to complete a download to do that, but when I get to 99% on the update it just stops and says the estimated time is 1 hour and it keeps rising.
