I’m Finally Freeeee

Finally grew a pair and said goodbye to ark evolved and ascended today. (Couldn’t number these at all without reddit freakin out) Some things out of probably 60+ or more im really sick of off the top of my head:

Creatures keep getting thrown into my single player saves (even when i don’t own them)

The quality of life updates thats actually useful getting locked behind dlc, like the gene scanner thing and industrial preserving bin (seriously why are there not more structures that fill in the gap between early game cooking pots and industrial cookers and others like it?)

Content creators still constantly praising the game because its the only thing they do which ruins the game for everyone else and shows WC we don’t care how bad their game is optimized and everything else

The STUPID download size WC refuses to fix

Not going back and updating the older maps with newer map stuff every year or so, like new creatures that would make sense and not just the annoying fantastic tames (still waiting to play the center and aberration without the terrible design choices for the remaster)

Dlc resources FOR SOME REASON NOT BEING ON THE OTHER MAPS WHEN THE REMASTER INCLUDES ALL THE MAPS FOR FREE (minus Lost Colony, by the way is still buggy) Though WC did good with bringing silk into the island and every other map witht the araneo tlc they can have some credit

Not being able to use another version of a resource to craft something specific (the climbing picks need fungal wood and normal wood doesn’t work, but works the other way around with everything else? Fungal wood literally says “1:1 substitute for wood” or close to it)

Premium mods being made premium when probably half of them (if not more) shouldn’t be

Still falling through the map, 11 years later…

Dino TLCs are gone (unless we donate for charity, which good cause and all, but why isn’t the studio doing their own job? I sound evil but really though)

DELAY after DELAY after DELAY after DELAY, and updates STILL come out with game breaking bugs!!

Playing other games is so much fun when they actually care about their players and don’t try to steal their wallets every other day. I loved ark for a long time, and don’t want to leave, but a small portion of the community (from the toxic positivity, like raasclark and his fans that buy everything ark that comes out), WC and their overlords ALL have ruined my love for the games.

Maybe one day enough people will put their foot down and vote with their wallets to make the game as good as we all know it can be. Until then, goodbye.

Can we please change the horses of level 200/300 sharks and creatures spawning everywhere?

I can barely find X-creatures to tame, and when I find them I have to deal with countless level 300 Megs jumping out of nowhere

And X-creatures still have the damage reduction seems...so it's even harder than usual

I truly am not understanding their thought process with this update at all.

1. They pushed back the initial release a week or so. I don’t know the exact date until July 2nd. Normal and expecting. Not a big deal.

2. July 2nd update obviously didn’t come out and the decided to give it to us on July 3rd. Hours and hours of waiting. Bad communication. Still unfinished and obviously broken. Why are we doing big releases on weekends and especially holiday weekends? It should have waited till next weekend at the minimum for multiple reasons.

3. We finally get the update! Everyone is so excited… Why does it look so unfinished? Why is it so broken? Let’s have everyone play for 12+ hours. The most important twelve hours. Fighting for their spots. Pillaring. The most annoying work.

4. Oh no. There’s an exploit for hexagons. We have to rollback to the beginning. That’s more important than at least 5k+ people losing their characters and hours of work. And it’s still broken. So thousands of people lose their characters. People are still cheating.

I’m not understanding why we didn’t rollback to Wednesday where most characters will be back on their previous map or uploaded. Then they could’ve worked on the hexagon glitch. Give us summer event and just wait till Gen1 is not a nightmare.

Communication has been terrible. Not completely follows fault, but still terrible nonetheless. Like estimated time frames for character restoration? Are bases going to be nondecayable until this gets resolved?

The priorities are weird and make no sense.
Also not boosting the cap slot from 70 to 100 is a decision. It’s just a whole nightmare

Is there anyone who seriously asked for this shit? It looks like shit, 50% of the islands are content for the stupid pirate DLC, everyone knows what it looks like underwater with fog disabled.

Gen 1 was one of my favorite maps of ASE and I was truly excited about its rerelease but not like this.

Okay so we all know how Snail Games is going bankrupt... I propose that we may get a team together, approach valve with an idea to buy ark and wild card... See if they can provide some financial assistance and attempt to buy the IP from snail... They may not be too open to it, but they're dying so... I say it's worth a shot. Though I have my doubts that anybody will see this.

Anyone else notice their servers are broken now? It went from 10gb ram use to 13gb ram. And pings through roof not just on my own server but on others?
