I’ve played and beat the original about 5x and since the remaster came out, I think I’ve completed that about 5x as well.
I took a small break to play some other games that I’d been wanting to play and when I came back this time, I started a regular new game (not NG+)
Of course I had to earn all my camp credits and skill points but since Copeland’s camp didn’t have anything left to offer me, I left it at trust level 2 while completing the rest of the game.
I thought I was having a Mandela Effect at the last fight because boozer was outside the tuck bomb, Rikki and Lost Lake come out to fight with me, then Alkai shows up and we leave. No Copeland, no Manny saying “head down and they feed ya”. I even had to look on YouTube for the ending thinking I was seriously losing it.
After further research, turns out Cope didn’t come because I didn’t max out my trust with him!
With all its little bugs and weirdness sometimes, MY GOD, do I love this game all its little nuanced additions and subtractions
Anyway, just had to share. Every time I play this game I notice something new but this one felt different because I thought that scene was the same for every play through
TL;DR Copeland and manny didn’t come to the final fight at the end because I didn’t max out my trust at Copeland’s camp
