Valorant (only Val) causing PC to become unresponsive at launch
Hello,
I’m having issue getting Valorant to play on my partners computer. I can open up the riot client, I can play one of riots other league games (sorry not familiar, but installed and launched to see if it worked, and it did). I can also play other medium-heavy games without issue: Hogwarts Legacy, BG3, GTAV, City Skylines, etc.
I think it has to do with the vanguard, but I’ve tried everything I can think of, albeit I’m not tech savvy, and I feel like I’m going in circles.
What I’ve tried:
Uninstalled valorant, riot, vanguard - reinstalled (3+ times)
Updated graphics drivers (AMD)
Updated the computer through system settings
Removed all usb plugins from the back of the pc and moved it to the front (saw someone on another post that had issues with where their stuff was plugged in so I tried it)
Optimized graphics in AMD panel (tried a couple of their settings)
Tried launching game in window and fullscreen
Turned off accelerated graphics
Turned off fast startup
Repaired the game through the riot client
Tested other games - including another through Riot.
I really wanna get this fixed up before she gets off work - we’ve had a long week of moving and such and want to get this sorted so she can play some games on her upcoming day off. :,)
