Hello,

I’m new to this hobby, just trying to learn a bit more. Recently picked up a sapphire (around 0.70ct). From my research, it seems that inclusions are good indicators of legitimacy, in addition to having straight striae. Is this darker blue line in the corner an inclusion? And this lighter band beneath it, is that normal?

I’m hoping someone more experienced may weigh in on this sapphire. I was told it was not heat treated, I have no clue whether that matters or how to tell. I’ve tried taking the best pictures I can with the equipment I’ve got available.

I have been researching for the past few days, but this is a new area for me, and there is a lot of information. Any help would be much appreciated!!
