Quick question on Sterling background check: Do I list ONLY resume jobs, or ALL past jobs?

Hey everyone,

I’m currently filling out a Sterling background check form for a new job in Canada and need some quick advice.

My resume only lists relevant work experience, so I left off a couple of short-term/sales roles. However, the background check form instructions say to provide a "complete paid employment history."

For those who have gone through this with Sterling:
Should I list only the jobs that appear on my resume?
Or do I need to include every paid job I've had (even short-term ones left off my resume)?

Will Sterling flag it as a discrepancy if I list a job on the background check that wasn't on my resume, or is it worse to leave a job off the form entirely?

Appreciate any insight or past experiences! Thanks!

RBC Banking Advisor (Advice Centre) paying $43k… WTF? How are we supposed to live on this? Need career transition advice

Omg, I need to vent and hopefully get some advice. I’m currently working as a Banking Advisor in the Advice Centre at RBC, and they are paying me just $43,000 per year. Living in Vancouver on this salary is practically impossible with astronomical rent, groceries, and basic cost of living, $43k leaves absolutely zero room to save.

How is one of Canada's biggest banks paying entry-level advice roles this low in one of the most expensive cities in North America?!

I know retail banking is often treated as a stepping stone, but I need to figure out how to increase my income ASAP. I’m trying to figure out if there is any realistic way to negotiate a raise internally, or if RBC strictly sticks to their salary band minimums for BAs. If you’ve been in this role, how did you handle pay, or did you have to jump ship to see any real bump in compensation?

More importantly, I want to know which internal roles or external careers I should be targeting to reach a liveable income of $65k to $80k+
