Here are my very own pieces of nature. 90cm dutch tank, 50cm pearl-weed tank and 30cm guppy fry tank. 1 month before and after.

The tank is a 40gal tank, 3 months old and due for trimming. In my past tanks, the plants tend to get worst after trimming. Because of that, I am afraid to touch the plants here in this tank. But, I wanted to shape and trim them to be less chaotic. I usually trim them 2-3 nodes left above substrate because I want them to shoot as much as they can before letting them get tall. Is that idea ok? How should I approach this.

My guppies dropped fry for the 2nd time and will not let them eat like what happened to the 1st batch. I originally planned to let the fry to grow out with the trio but brutally failed when the trio wiped the 1st batch

If yes, what to change? If no, what to improve
