A post of gratitude №2, to Mediocre-Mare (u/Mediocre-Mare)

I am once again thankful for their work of my girl Nakyra! It was a free giveaway piece, just like the beanie last time, so I am even more grateful for it. This time it is an icon, rather than a beanie. I've seen them drawing it live, on stream, and they managed to capture the "resting bitch face", which I had trouble doing myself, spot on! It was also insightful to see their drawing style and technique, even if I won't be able to replicate it.

Once again, art was done u/Mediocre-Mare! Link to the artists' website, as was asked before! https://mediocremaremarket.carrd.co

Green buge 💚💚💚 didn't make it 😭😭😭

I am still working as janitor, so it is usual for me to see some bugs here and there. Last night however was marked with some HEAVY rain, and I was the witness of the aftermath. One of the things of such event was a green dragonfly, stiff and on the pavement. I tried my best to be gentle, and placed their body in the grass after the photo.

Rest easy dragonbuge. You were too much for them, so they had to cast a storm...

Ghost buge

Some buge was sitting on a metallic door to my house. It wasn't too heated up yet, so I guess they were warming up.

PS: Wait, how the hell does the buge has it's reflection on the metal door???

A post of gratitude to u/CorruptedNightFall00 (FloofNugget)

I want to say the "thank you" to FloofNugget, who decided to do an ych piece, asked about the details and what people usually like, in a from of a post, and offered one to me for free!

I absolutely love the way they did my girl Nakyra, especially the fur! It's the way I imagined it while trying to draw it myself, and the tail tip is gorgeous! I also like how they've done hands/feet. I was reading the first tome of "Journey to the West", while on vacation, and was thinking on how Nakyra would look with more prevalent eastern element. They nailed it! And it coincided with me coming back home, so it made me very happy!

I can only recommend them! And while I'm your usual "free piece vulture", mostly due to personal life situation, I would ask you to check them out! A thousand thanks won't cut it!

Hard working wasp buge

Found some solitary wasp, building a nest, on a train station... What the hell is going on in the buge's brain?

My attempt at drawing my character №5 (Full body + some references)

Finally finished with full body. I've tried my best with fur and general body outlines. Eye-adjacent skin shape is a bit messed up in terms of direction, and i didn't know how to draw arms and fingers in standing position.

It's not the best, the image in my mind painted an even prettier picture. Anatomy is also whacky at places, but it being my first try excuses me somewhat. At the very least I did it by myself, and put the effort into making it in more "permament" from..

If you have any questions about the character or setting lore, I will try to answer! Just be aware that I might derail into general info about my fantasy (as in setting, not the other kind). Also, the mark bears my name (to the left), and the name of the Godly being responsible for creation of both Yzir (Seers world), and Elikan (Wildlings world) together with moons of Alikin and Ulikun.

WIP on full body (my attempt at drawing my character pre-№5)

So far I struggled with anatomy, to the point of creating a smaller sketch, and scaling it up to a proper size, and then drawing another sketch on top of it. As a result, I managed to get a proper torso, as well as tail, which I traced from one of my pictures.

I really like the legs anatomy (perhaps a bit too thin to stand only on them), especially the fur! Arms are less refined, but still better than nothing. I tried to play with limbs fur and its size, as to make it a bit different on arms and legs. The bit on a tail is also gonna be fur, but I'll refine it when I start properly drawing, next time I get on Krita.

I still have some time before vacation, so I can't wait to finish this up!

Rollie buge (cousin)?

Saw this guy wandering around, trying to dig some hole on stone sidewalk, then hiding under a small rock.

My somewhat fine attempt at drawing my character №1 (finished Nakyras' front headshot).

I managed to finish the sketch, and even added the ears, fur (still of assanine quality, but better than the last time) and some primitive shading! She looks somewhat like a Zelda character, or a monster hunter mural depiction, which was unintentional...

I should be happy, that I finished my work, into which I poured the most effort yet. That i managed to dedicate some time and effort to try to bring my character to life, even if not perfect. I should...

Then why do I feel so disappointed? Why can't I just accept my imperfection, and the lack of skill and drawing tablet, and simply be happy that I did what I could? Why can't I stop blaming myself, because I can't draw Nakyra as well as I see her in my mind? Why can't I just stop myself from constantly comparing to other, better artists? Why?!...

My somewhat fine attempt at drawing my character № 0.1 (Nakyras' Headshot from the front)

I haven't been drawing the past few weeks, both due to work, and due to the unbearable heat (at work as well), which was (and still is) forcing me take daily showers, sit under a fan when using my computer, and to drink cups after cups of water daily.

I decided to break my lazy streak, and wanted to make a sketch first. I did progress further, and finished the neck, as well as the main shape of the head (but left it uncoloured, since the sketch outline is a single big group. I did compartmentalize the layers, but I am yet to draw the horns, and still have no clue how to angle the fur chops properly.

I hope my progress in drawing is not to slow. I did learn to use different colours for the outlines, depending on the shape and surrounding colours!

My shitty attempt at drawing my character №2 (Nakyras' Arm+Hand)

Still learning Krita, and utilizing layers to their full extent (shame that without ogres). Also remembered to place colours in the corner, for easier adjustment. Tried to give the hand a glove-like look. Fur sucks ass still, but still better than the last time.

Nakyra comes from the race of dragons (Yranlu) with great mechanical manipulation skills, so the fingers are long and thin (although the claws are usually trimmed amongst her kind, Nakyra is known as "the Wildling", and her long claws are such a visual expression). Also, the hand is mirrored at the middle, so there is 1 middle and 2 index fingers, as well as 2 long thumbs.

I have been exhausted for the past few days, be it from a hot weather, or physical labour. I don't plan on daily post, but rather when I get enough sketches, and the courage to post them.

All the criticism is appreciated!

My shitty attempt at drawing my characters №1.1 (neck+head fur chops adjustment).

The frills are all supposed to be fur, but my noob ass can't draw for shit.

I hope this post is not considered as spam, as it is more of adjustment to my previous one.

My shitty attempt at drawing my characters №1 (Nakyra Headshot)

My previous experience was limited to MS Paint, so I downloaded and tried Krita. I'm still trying to get the grasp of both the tools, as well as drawing in general (considering that i don't have a tablet).

All the roasts and criticism are appreciated! It is my first serious attempt at drawing a character, and not an object or flag.

People, please stop overbetting, only for you to leave, and ruin not only the sellers time, but time of other buyers as well

I wasn't involved, was too broke, but still. Don't overbet for memes. Someone just ruined someone other's chance to buy the slot, and while the seller put it up again, half the lobby left, and the bid came only to 22k (from previous 70k). Of course, the seller left without selling the slot.
