I don’t have much more to say than I wish it was actually dark at night instead of just foggy.

For me its the repeats of dogs, cats or other pawed animals being heavy inspiration for CoS creatures. Even though i do like some of those creature designs, I am still kind of getting sick of the lack of variety (kind of ironic since this game has a LOT of creatures).

Of course I am also kind of tired of 'cute' or 'huge eyes but little guy' designs even though i have a soft spot for cute things (and i end up trying to get those creatures despite everything.. THATS HOW THEY GET YOU!!!!!!) Also something that bothers me the most is that some designs dont really make sense biologically speaking? Or doesnt seem functional/beneficial for a creature to have (as someone who has been studying zoology for many years, i think its a bit silly. Also I am aware that this is a fantasy game and not everything is supposed to make realistically sense.)

I wish they focused on creating creatures inspired by obscure or underrated real life animals or maybe even try to create new creatures instead of milking profitable design choices .....

(some animals mentioned here are not specific species but rather families/order of animals btw) Heres a list of real life animals i wish they considered into implementing them in some way into future creature designs:

Sea urchins, snapping turtles, primates (other than homosapiens), okapi, flying squirrels, some groups of crustaceans(such as prawns, shrimp, krill or crayfish), some groups of mollusca (clams, slugs, cuttlefish, octopi, squids, nautilus), eels (moray, garden eel, cave eel, pelican eel, etc.), jellyfish (the bipedal rodent with a giant colorful wig does not count as a jellyfish hence the name, pseudora.)

I can go on and on but this post is long enough already, sorry.

What are your opinions/rants about the current CoS creature designs and what kind of creatures would you like to ser in game?

TLDR:

OP is tired of repeats of pet based creatures and yearns for variety, OP is also tired of cute designs despite being guilty of chasing after them. OP feels like some design choices dont make sense biologically speaking. OP then makes a list of species that they would like to see implemented in game.

I genuinely cannot fathom why people KOS. Sure, if they were killing small creatures and/or they killed you, understandable. Killing people who had nothing to do with you and getting happy when they get mad that you killed something they worked so hard for, wanted to show off, spent so much money on, or were aging. Literally, please explain.

Was just chilling in mesa as an apli, nesting and vibing till this ugly ass morcanix showed up, stared at my nest for a good minute, then started chasing me down to try and kill me. I asked in chat several times why they were hunting me down specifically when there was already food and plenty of bigger creatures to fight. They didn’t answer me until I came back as an isolun. Then they got all scared and kept doing the friendly call. So I once again went to chat to ask them why they would go out of their way to attack an apli but play nice once a stronger creature shows up. The second I ask this a therimorse jumps out the water and starts biting me, before I can even stand up the morcanix runs over and starts bitting me as well. I died, because of course a 2v1 is gonna end with the 1 dead. I got a little salty at that point and said “oh you’re willing to go after small creatures alone but you need a buddy to handle one isolun” and they both jumped in the chat, at this point I had assumed they didn’t have chat cuz they ignored me asking them why, and started insulting me. Saying I should have told them I was nesting and it was my fault anyways for using an apli. Like what the fuck? What kind of loser goes out of their way to harass someone just for the creature they like playing in a video game? Anyways, fuck you, you lame ass morcanix. Your skin was ugly as hell too.

I’m so so SO done with ppl slaughtering me constantly. I was playing as a Fleur and someone complimented my Fleur. Thought nothing of it. I switched creatures and they started killing me and my entire pack over and over. I lowkey haven’t played the game in a long time bc I needed a break from ppl like this. Finally done event farming and getting to relax as some of my creatures and ofc it happens again IMMEDIATELY. Thry switched to THEIR Fleur and started kosing everything in oasis with their dumb little healer behind them. Then they got an Elder too, an Imea, and a Vena to join them and I don’t get it. It was all behemoths chilling in oasis and they killed everything??? HOW???? Holy LARPING bro why do ppl NOT TOUCH GRASS? GO OUTSIDE HOLY SHIT…and not only that, while bringing my Uldraake that spawned on the complete opposite side of the map to oasis, I couldn’t even make it to central before 2 WHOLE GEORS, A MORTHO, AND A MAW ALL DECIDED TO KOS ME…WHY? WHAT DID I DO??? WHY DO PPL NEED TO OVERKILL???????? Oh my gosh I’m gonna have to just not play creatures in public servers anymore atp. Hardcore private servers STILL work even if the boosts are disabled…I can never have peace in this game. I can tell what’s worse, the Cos community or Genshin community…my 2 worst nightmares istg. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk I never usually let this out but I see other people do it and not get dogged on for it so…please don’t attack me. 💜

I was nesting as Gubbin trying to get good traits and then I go afk in my burrow and next thing you know a brequewk killed me. That's ok IDC but then the breq starts being toxic in the ingame chat saying things like "EZ" and "Noob" even though I am a veteran player. So that ticks me off so I kill him with my Aeries and then he comes back as kora but I kill him again and then he says "Hacker" and reports me and then targets me when I try to nest as Gubbin again. These types of people are so annoying and I hope you guys don't encounter them ingame

I have never despised a creature more until today. GUBBIN NEEDS TO BE NERFED, I don't even care if I get people whining in the comments here!

They are AWFUL specs and they are functionally IMMORTAL and they have genuinely been the bane of my existence. I have been targeted by them OVER and OVER again and I cant even defend myself because they heal it ALL BACK AT ONCE IN THEIR BURROW. They aren't even cute, they are forcefully "Cute". Yeah, they are good ONLY if you are playing them, for everyone around you it's STRAIGHTTTT torture.

I am genuinely just tired of playing COS at this point because I'm constantly being attacked by these things and I'm waiting till Friday to see if they do get a nerf and if they don't, then I actually might just dump the game, this is my final straw as I've put up with so many other issues on this game.

Friendly Firakai do not exist. They exist solely to kill super behemoths minding their own business and shit their panties when they do so. They cannot be countered, they cannot be attacked.

First, I love the design of it. This looks like an actual subspecies instead of a mega evolution. As for gameplay? It feels like normal geo without stamina drain while swimming and with a moisture bar. WHY THE HELL DOESNT IT HAVE DART. THIS THING HAS DIFFICULTY GETTING ON LAND FROM THE WATER BUT STILL NEEDS TO GO ON LAND FOR WATER. ITS TOO SLOW TO AND BIG TO GET OUT AT MOST BEACHES. IT TAKES AN HOUR TO GET TO LAND AT THE AQUATIC REALM OR SWAMP BECAUSE THE THING IS TOO FAT AND SLOW AND ITS BASICALLY LESS APLLICABLE FOR COMBAT ON LAND THAN THE ORIGINAL. IT CANT FIGHT IN THE WATER ANY BETTER THAN NORMAL GEO SO WHY DOES IT EXIST

Couldn't choose a flair because it literally involves multiple ones. I just wanted to say how utterly fucking broken Oxytalis is, excuse my language but this piece of shit is WAY too strong to the point that it's literally so unfair, and all it gets is buffs. Yeah sure, its only weakness, fliers, get remedied by giving it wingshredder meanwhile this hunk of manure can literally win against every single fucking thing, with no means of counteraplay. Yes, hearing it coming is one way of dealing with it, but you KNOW some chud no life loser filth will camp out a single pathway for hours on end with Aggro buff and kill anything that goes past it. It's literally stronger than 90% of the creatures in the damn game, and you have no means of escaping it???? how is that fair???

375 atk, 0.9 atk cd. WHAT THE FUCK ARE WE EVEN DOING STAT TEAM. Gimon gets nerfed for having "magically unknown reasons" while Oxy gets a pat in the back for not being able to deal with fliers well. Oh I guess it's balanced since it's an all rounder- all around able to fucking dominate the entire damn game. Creatures of its weight class stand little to no chance especially if it manages to set up aggro while invis, literally nobody would be expecting it. For the love of everything why does it still have life leech the fucking thing.

I swear, I will make it my sole mission to make every Oxy's life miserable, I will deliberately hunt every single Oxy I see in my servers, I don't care if they're a baby, I will force them to never play that spec again. If I can't have fun in my game, working so hard to make up strategies, trait combos, plushies, gameplay quirks to get an advantage all to be beaten by this brainless lunk of lard, then I will make it my mission to massacre every one in existence.

WHY DOES THE REMOVE AGE POINT/KILL THING EXIST!? I DON'T ALWAYS WANT TO FIGHT. IF I WANT KEEP A SAVE SLOT THAT I WORKED HARD FOR OR WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO GET BACK (Double mutation abyssal geotharoc slot I bought from trade realm or my Melanistic hallucinix) THEN WHY SHOULDNT I LEAVE? YOU GIVE ME NO OTHER WAY TO ESCAPE COMBAT WHEN DEALING WITH COMETHING FASTER STRONGER AND OR MOVEMENT RESTRICTING. HATE. HATE. HATE. Ugh, I understand why they do it, having someone leave when you're fighting them is frustrating, but there should be some way to split the people playing between people open to combat and people who just want to play. Would it be so hard to add an anti combat shield to people until they attack someone?
