i wanted to ask how ethical this thing I like doing is. to start from the beginning, i'm a pedestrian at heart. i love walking, mildly dislike sitting down, and hate driving (as you know!), so i walk to school instead of taking the bus. but almost every single day i encounter at least 1 car that's illegally parked on a sidewalk or even int the middle of a pedestrian crossing. the sidewalks are sometimes very narrow, in some spots they're just 1 metre wide, so if a car parks on them i literally have to go in the middle of the road just to proceed.

i've thought about calling the police but I don't think they'd like to receive calls every day from the same angry pedestrian, so a few months ago i decided to simply start raising the windshield wipers of the worst offenders. on average, i raise the wipers of one car a day.

but today, a lady saw me do it and she just said "why!". i replied that the car occupies the entirety of the sidewalk and she just said "then call the cops..." and i just said I prefer doing it this way. so idk, should I keep doing this? i have to admit i enjoy it very much, but of course i only raise the wipers of the absolute worst offenders, if they don't have a disabled permit and don't have their hazard lights on (the latter mostly because they're likely around)
