Any Thoughts on Michelin expansion?

So, it's likely that Michelin is going to rate a handful of places down here and maybe hand out a star or two...

Does anyone have any strong thoughts on this? I think this is a step towards Michelin really deflating the value of their attachment to a venue, though, they have been trending in that direction since Gordon Ramsay became a reality star.

I for one have found the entire CS culinary community to be lacking the innovation to even warrant it, not for desire to innovate, but the populace of this city detests anything that is against the grain, no one is willing to let the chef take the wheel and put his best plates forward, they just want and order what they know.

The Broadmoor is who they are and they'll buy whatever rating that they can, just like they've done with the stars and diamonds for the last two decades, Brother Luck has had one "successful" restaurant and it hasn't really ever been that great. The best restaurants in town are steakhouses or dive bars or breakfast joints, there just isn't the diversity down here to warrant giving us a shot at those highly sought after stars. If you've eaten at Matsuhisa or Wolf's Taylor or Frasca/Tavernetta or Rootstalk in Breckenridge, you know what I'm talking about.

I don't know, I'm more wine than food, in more than the common connotation, just wondering what people think about it.
