The Great Genius Of Bamboozling (Such A Fun Word)

Congratulations.

You scored high enough on a test

that cost you sixty bucks

to prove you’re smarter

than most of the people

who kept their sixty bucks.

Now, for the low annual fee of $107,

you may join the club

and receive:

A card that says you are smart,

Access to a newsletter no one reads and the quiet satisfaction of knowing

that lesser minds cannot afford

to confirm their mediocrity

quite so officially

There are no secret handshakes.

No shared research grants.

No actual problems solved.

Just the warm glow

of having paid good money

to be told what you already suspected

about yourself.

Remember:

True intelligence is recognizing

that the smartest move

might have been

keeping the sixty bucks

and the hundred-and-seven

and simply going about your day

without a laminated reminder

that you once outscored a roomful of strangers

on a timed puzzle booklet.

But where’s the status in that?

Welcome to Mensa.

Please tip your proctor on the way out.

Intelligence is free.

Membership is not.

Great Idea -Cut Pay

I've heard a lot of people say the only thing keeping them around is pay. Leadershit take note. To further the process of enshitification of sheeito, please reduce pay and benefits and increase force outs. That is all.

Medical Intrigue

Let's just say, theoretically, I'm having a medical procedure done. What's the most Frito Friendly way to hide a colostomy bag whilst engaging with Frito activities? Has HR or a DSL addressed this?

Pooetry

Behold, ye mere mortals who toil in air-conditioned offices, sipping lattes and pondering “work-life balance.” You have never lived. You have never achieved. True transcendence is reserved for the Route Sales Representative of Frito-Lay — the modern Prometheus who steals fire from the gods… and then delivers it in a 24-foot box truck that smells like a combination of stale Cheetos dust, diesel, and the faint, lingering despair of a thousand expired bags of Funyuns.

This is not a job. This is the height of human existence.

The Sacred Aroma

Every morning the RSR rises before the sun, not because of some corporate “hustle culture,” but because the universe itself demands that he commune with the Holy Trinity of Odors:

The eternal funk of last week’s crushed Doritos that somehow migrated into the cab vents and achieved sentience.

The sweet, fermented perfume of a forgotten case of Taco Doritos that exploded in the summer heat and is now evolving into a new life form under the passenger seat.

The subtle, aristocratic musk of his own uniform after three consecutive 14-hour days in 98-degree weather with no working A/C.

Lesser men would gag. The RSR inhales deeply and smiles. “Ah,” he whispers, “the bouquet of destiny.”

The Managers: Living Masterpieces of Incompetence

Above him sits the District Manager — a being so perfectly engineered for chaos that NASA studies him between rocket failures. This noble creature will:

Schedule a “quick 15-minute huddle” that lasts 97 minutes and ends with the phrase “just work smarter, not harder, team.”

Demand that every store be “100% in-stock on the new limited-edition Flamin’ Hot Dill Pickle Ruffles” while simultaneously forgetting to order them.

Rage about “route efficiency” while the RSR’s handheld Work Smart phone is currently displaying the blue screen of death and a tiny spinning Frito-Lay logo that has been spinning since Tuesday.

The RSR does not complain. He understands. These managers are not obstacles. They are mentors in the fine art of existential absurdity.

The Customers: Pure, Unfiltered Passion

Then come the store managers — those beautiful, screaming angels of retail. One will meet the RSR at the back door with the energy of a man who has just discovered his entire chip aisle has been rearranged by raccoons. Another will demand to know why the Cool Ranch Doritos are “only” three facings deep while gesturing violently with a half-eaten bag of the very product he is complaining about.

The RSR nods solemnly. He has achieved enlightenment. He knows that customer rage is simply love expressed at high volume and low emotional regulation. Every “WHERE THE FUCK ARE MY CHESTER’S HOT FRIES?!” is really just the universe saying, “I see you. You matter. Now restock the endcap before I have a stroke.”

The Work Smart Phone: Technological Perfection

And finally, the crown jewel of human progress: the company-issued Work Smart device. This magnificent slab of plastic and broken dreams will:

Freeze exactly when the RSR needs to scan a case of 48-count variety packs.

Decide that the GPS location of the store is actually three miles away in a cornfield.

Randomly open the camera and take 47 photos of the RSR’s left knee.

Crash so hard that the only recovery method is to hold the power button while whispering ancient Frito-Lay prayers (“Crunch… all… you… want…”).

When it finally reboots and announces “Route completed successfully!” after the RSR has already driven home, showered, and contemplated a new career in alpaca farming — that is the moment true achievement is felt. The phone has spoken. The day is complete. Humanity has peaked.

So raise your crumpled bag of stale Lay’s, fellow travelers. Toast the foul smells that season the soul. Salute the managers who teach us that competence is overrated. Embrace the raging customers who remind us we are alive. And cherish the malfunctioning Work Smart phone — that tiny, glowing monument to the fact that somewhere, somehow, someone in Plano, Texas, looked at the human condition and said:

“Yes. This. This is enough.”

We are not delivery drivers.

We are the final form of civilization.

Poopy Diaper Efficiency

I've been thinking about all the great ideas leadershit has recently implemented. I've put all 4 of my braincells to come up with great ideas to contribute at an upcoming meeting. What I've got is soiling myself and mandating coworkers do the same. Think of it, cut out unesscesscary bathroom use. I'll leave the beancounters decide if bulk diapers outweigh bathroom use on the accounting side. Thank u for your attention to this matter!!

Wallowing in a language arts landfill

I somewhat recently produced a book and it's an aspiring hit. Unfortunately,it has no traction, not just because it's a train wreck but also because the government is probably suppressing great modern romances such as mine. I'll link below, please savage it viscously and leave terrible remarks and ratings and advice to make it worse.
