Kinguin seller asking for my ElevenLabs account password to "activate" a subscription — is this a scam?
Found this listing on Kinguin: ~$95-100 for a 12-month "ElevenLabs Creator" subscription top-up from a seller called CDKeySell Digital. Instead of giving you a redeemable code, the instructions say to send them your ElevenLabs account email and password so they can "activate" the plan directly on your account, then change your password after.
ElevenLabs' actual price for this plan is $22/month ($220/year if you pay annually direct) — so this is more than 50% off, and ElevenLabs doesn't run any official reseller or gift-card program for individual plans.
My read: this is probably an account being funded with a stolen/fraudulent payment method, which works fine short-term but risks getting suspended once the fraud is caught (chargeback, card issuer flag, etc.) — likely after Kinguin's 30-day buyer protection window has already closed.
Seller shows a 99.83% positive rating from ~15k Kinguin reviews, for what that's worth. Tried asking in the Kinguin subreddit and it got removed/auto-modded within a minute.
Anyone recognize this pattern, or had a similar "we activate it on your account" subscription top-up go bad after the fact? Trying to sanity check before anyone else falls for it.
