I am a stats phd student with no prior industry experience, my research focuses on probability theory, stats and machine learning. Good grades, some awards for research and academics. Mostly preparing for academia but changed my mind recently.
It seems like everyone focuses only on math, stats, and LeetCode-type questions, or at least that is the impression i get everytime I visit some quant questions site. Are more relevant skills, like whether you can actually code? Or at least do projects and stuff tested at all?
Basically the title. I am a stats phd student and want to find students to tutor either for quant interviews or courses or anything related to math. I am not sure how I can find students ? Just wanted to ask and see how this is usually done.
Hi all. I am trying to prepare for quant interviews. I am a graduate students and have almost no experience with interviews. So to mainly test myself under pressure, if anyone is interested in doing mock interviews, please let me know. I can also recirprocate and help with your prep as well.
Basically the title. I have always wanted to stay in academia and ignored the industry path throughout. I am now fed up with academia and want to try for full time roles in industry. I am done with my thesis and can graduate any time.
