Position of Distal tips in Glands
I’m looking to hear from anyone who’s experienced a similar issue with the distal tips of their inflatable penile implant.
I’m about 4 weeks out from receiving a Coloplast Titan (24 cm). Since surgery, I’ve been able to clearly feel the distal ends of both cylinders just beneath the glans. The left distal tip feels noticeably higher but good position while right size is lower and pushes out to edge.
What concerns me most is the support under the glans. On the underside of the penis where the shaft meets the head, I can feel what seems like a gap or lack of support on right side, as if this side isn’t supporting the glans. Visually, it appears that the left cylinder is providing more support while the right side feels like it sits lower and farther toward the outside edge of the glans instead of directly underneath it.
Because of that, the left side is pushing the glans upward while the right side isn’t providing the same support. My glans consistently angles and rotates to the left while flaccid and the right side of head just pulls left and looks deformed when inflated.
Fully inflated, feels like the tissue on the right side is being stretched rather than supported, which is why I’ve started wondering if the distal support is uneven. I can feel it more during sex too which doesn’t feel great, so deflating some for comfort.
My surgeon has advised waiting until around the 3-month mark before deciding whether anything needs to be addressed, and I understand healing can change a lot over that time. I’m trying to be patient, but I’m curious whether anyone else experienced something similar.
For anyone who’s been through this:
Were you able to feel both distal cylinder tips under the glans?
Did one distal tip seem higher or farther forward than the other?
Did you notice a gap or lack of support beneath part of the glans?
Did your glans angle or rotate because of uneven support?
Did things improve with healing and cycling, or did it ultimately turn out to be a cylinder positioning issue?
If you needed a revision, what was corrected and how were your results afterward?
I’m not looking for anyone to diagnose me. I’m simply trying to understand whether others have experienced this, whether it improved over time, and what the eventual outcome was.
Thanks, I really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s dealt with something similar.
