why do comments from my parent still bother me so much?
i can usually brush off criticism from other people, but even a small comment from my parent can stay in my head for hours. i know i don't need their approval anymore, but i still find myself thinking about what they said and wondering if they were right.
does anyone else still react this way even after becoming an adult?
