My poem
I hope you don’t mind but I’d like to share with you a quick poem I came up with this morning
Dear Shirley (tumour)
I’m so glad I caught you early
You came in, in the dead of night
Two gloves on ready ready to fight
Oh Shirley I’m so glad I caught you early
I’ve got future grandbabies I want to love and meet
There’s still fancy restaurants in which I want to eat
Oh Shirley I’m so glad I caught you early
I want to feel the sun on my skin and the wind in my hair
I’m a wife and a mum but you don’t care
Oh Shirley I’m so glad I caught you early
I want to be on a ship that sails the oceans
Fuck you shirley I’m not just going through the motions
Oh Shirley I’m so glad I caught you early
Ive got Drs, nurses and oncologists on my side
I’ll be pumping my body full of poison there will be no place for you left to hide.
Oh Shirley I’m so glad I found you early
You better believe I’m ringing that bell
There so much of my story left to tell
Oh Shirley I’m so glad I found you early
Soon you’ll be a Facebook memory that pops up yearly
Oh Shirley I bet your glad you Fucked off early
