Car Loan Question

I don’t want to go through the hassle of possibly getting denied, so I’m asking here:

I need a car loan of 6K. I have a collection from 2023 that I plan to pay off within the next week or two, and I just started my job recently (I work 15 hours a week for $21 an hour) and I’m about to start another one (it will be around the same pay and will add and 15-20 hours to my work week.) I live with family, and I’m also in the national guard, so that’s roughly $400 extra a month? I don’t know how much they check into my background, so should I wait a month for a pay stub, or should I attempt to get a pre approval?
