Help with interior styling
Hi everyone,
I would really appreciate some advice on how I can make my apartment feel warmer and more cosy. I recently moved in, so please excuse the mess/clutter in the photos. I’m honestly hopeless when it comes to interior styling and choosing colours that work well together.
At the moment, I really don’t like how my apartment looks, but I have no idea how to improve it. I looked into hiring an interior stylist, but it’s very expensive here in Sydney, so I’d rather put that money towards furniture and decor instead.
I’ve tried using AI inspiration photos and searched through Pinterest for apartments with a similar layout, but I’m struggling to find ideas that actually suit my space, especially with the flooring colour and overall layout. Nothing seems to blend well, and I can’t work out: where furniture should go, what type/style of furniture would suit the space, what colours would make it feel cosy and cohesive, and what I should remove or replace to make it look nicer. I’d especially love advice on furniture placement, rug colours/styles, furniture colours/materials, lighting ideas and anything that could make the apartment feel more inviting and put together. I should mention that I own the apartment so I can modify things if need be
