Buying a house with open fields directly next to it

Hi we are looking for a house. This house has been on market for 93 days now. This sits directly to the open fields. What are/could be the cons of owning this house? Any experience with wind, dust, pests, snow drifting? Would being next to open fields affect resale value? Could this be the reason why this house has been sitting in the market for so long?

Will We be house poor if we buy a 450K house on 130K gross income?

Edit:
We live in Billings, MT so I believe the property taxes, insurance, and daycare costs are comparatively lower. I can’t do a 2 bed house as our parents come visit and live with us 5-6 months at a time. Also, both of us are in healthcare so we haven’t accounted for public holiday pays and overtimes (my husband does overtime every other weekend). I only work part time now. If I switch to part time I’d make 25K more. No we don’t eat out frequently, don’t do any shopping spree. The only money we spend outside non-negotiable costs is travel. But based on all these comments, looks like sitting <400 would be ideal. Thank you all for your input.

Hi, me and my husband have been looking for a house for 7 months now. 3 bed, 2bath. Putting 20% down. We have 1 toddler. Car paid off. No debt. We have daycare expense (700/mo), and car insurance (100/mo), other than groceries, utilities, gas, internet and phone bills. We don’t spend a lot on anything else but do like to travel 2-3 times per year.
Initially, we were looking for a house <400K. We did find couple that we liked but those houses had multiple offers and we didn’t land one. Rest that hits the market for that price range are just trash. After looking for 7 months and at least 50 houses, we have come to a realization that a decent home would cost us at least 450K. That would be around 2800/mo mortgage including property tax. My husband is worried we might go house poor if we go above 400. Anyone on the same boat?
