The marble has a clear core and a very bright orange patch. The rest is covered with white and feels rough.
One seam look kind of like a v. The core is clear.
My reasoning is that it looks clear rather than having a green/blue recycled glass tint. Also it has 4 veins that blend green into blue. Do you agree with my assessment? Can it be further identified to the maker? Thanks!
It has two seams opposite of each other that are both pretty straight. It is semitransparent.
I’m pretty sure it’s Vaseline glass but I’m wondering if it can be further identified. It does not have visible seams or any variation of color. It is semitransparent with lots of bubbles. I have included pictures under natural, incandescent and 395 black light. It’s also a little larger than my standard marbles, I don’t have calipers but it’s just under 3/4 of an inch.
She was born right after her mother immigrated from Scotland. I found it on her display shelf. I don’t know if it’s actually old or possibly a modern reproduction that she was gifted. It doesn’t look like it was ever used. What do you think?
