Hi,

I was diagnosed with Crohn’s in 2005. Did a few courses of prednisone and asacol. Eventually got on Remicade and went into remission. I took Remicade every 8 weeks until 2024. After one of my infusions, a few days after I started getting dizzy spells and had double vision real bad. The stopped my Remicade treatment. Went to my doc and the put me in for a STAT mri at 845 pm on a Friday night. It was pretty scary. They told me I had de-myalating nerves in my brain. They screened me for Multiple Sclerosis and I was under the care of a neurologist for almost a year. After multiple MRI’s they ruled out MS and attributed the nerve damage to the prolonged Remicade treatment. I was told it was a side effect. I went thru a period of no Crohn’s treatment but it eventually came back with a fury. Did a few tapers of prednisone until I was able to get on tremfya. Things are pretty alright now, still recovering from the 3 prednisone tapers in the last 10 months. Has anyone else had problems with the Remicade like I did? What treatment did you go to?
