It's Not Much, But It's Mine

It has been really dry here in NC, so I figured I would try to walk a nearby lake and see if the water level had dropped enough to expose anything. When I got there, the "beach" was covered in footprints. I kept walking and didn't find anything but a lot of footprints. Eventually, I reached a stretch that was blocked by fallen pine trees and that is where the other guy turned around. The only way past them was to climb up the bank and make my way through a hellish patch of briars. Only an idiot would try to get through. I am that idiot, it is like a gauntlet of barbed wire, I very slowly made my way through to see there was a 15 or 20 foot section of sand up ahead and I could see a triangle in the middle of it. It was a lot of trouble for this old man to get through, but that Yadkin I got is one the other guy didn't get. I see all the beautiful points everyone posts photos of, so I just have to content myself with what this old body can still carry me to look for, especially since all my old spots are covered with houses

I feel sure this is just a geometrically shaped piece of quartz, or similar material, but wanted to check here before throwing it out.

I’m not seeing any typical signs of work; it honestly looks like a quartz crystal. Those are typically clear quartz, from what I find locally. With all that being said, I’ve never seen this specific material fracture in this way and I find this material a lot, on my property. Anyway, I’d basically just like confirmation it’s JAR before I toss it out. And if anyone knows, or has an idea of, what this material is, that would be awesome. Quartz Sandstone? I’m in Chesterfield Co., SC.

A little stemmed point pull

I found this (complete!) stemmed point the other day at my most productive site. I'm not sure of the type, but I'm assuming something late archaic. I type it as a savannah river in the video, but I kind of use the small savannah river type as a catch-all term for the small stemmed dudes I find in my area.

I'll post a pic in the comments

Central NC as always 🫡

Recent finds

A bunch of new river finds.

Finally found a non quartz artifact which is rare in my area of Upstate, SC.

Hafted scraper and blunted Lecroy?

I found these two dudes (and a cool clear quartz crystal) at one of my sites here in central NC and I'm scratching my head over them.

The quartz point only seems to be worked on the stem and one side and I don't see a clear break. The bifurcated point is dull too, so I figured it was blunted.

Thoughts?

Hardaway blade?

I found this today at one of my sites in central NC. It definitely seems to have a bit of an auricular base, and there's a break on the other "ear", though I could provide more pics. It's 45 mm long, 30 mm wide, and 7 mm thick so it falls square into the average measurements. No sign of a flute either, so I don't think Clovis or something related.

Maybe? Or is it just a broken preform?
