Am I crazy? Different materials, very similar shape found in same area of my yard. Durham county.

Found the first, very obviously worked, piece on the left in an area of the yard we have been excavating for a fire pit. While working in the same area I found the piece on the right (orthoquartzite? felsic siltstone? Would love help here). It's so oddly similar to the first piece, even down to the ridge along the side, but the material makes it really hard to see the evidence of being worked.

I've found a lot of possible debitage and broken tools made of similar material to the one on the right. Are there ways to better determine if those items have been worked?

Also what even is the tool on the left? Found along a broken blade of the same material (rhyolite with a heavy patina?) and a lot of flakes

A couple of bases and a chunk of chert

I checked out a new spot today near my super productive one from my last few posts and even though it was way too hot and I walked way too far, I found a nice little Kirk base and an interesting little asymmetrical guy, no idea what that one is.

I also found a nice chunk of chert and a flake. If you guys aren't aware, chert is very uncommon in the NC piedmont region, so it's always exciting to find some. If I had a guess, I'd say it's either Knox chert from the mountains or something out of Virginia. I'm not sure if the chunk is worked, but the flake sure looks like it!
