Massive NC blade pull

This guy ties my biggest find to date here in central NC! It's probably closer to a Guilford than a savannah river, but the stem is pretty well defined. I also found a nice little broke that's still needle sharp and has killer serrated edges. Check the tree line!

A little stemmed point pull

I found this (complete!) stemmed point the other day at my most productive site. I'm not sure of the type, but I'm assuming something late archaic. I type it as a savannah river in the video, but I kind of use the small savannah river type as a catch-all term for the small stemmed dudes I find in my area.

I'll post a pic in the comments

Central NC as always 🫡

Denticulate?

I found this little serrated flake yesterday and I *think* it may be my first denticulate. Thoughts? Also, there's a break on one side, so I wonder if maybe it was hafted 🤔

The tiniest and smoothest clear quartz crystal.

I found this tiny thing while out on a hike the other day. It's so smooth and symmetrical that for a second I thought it had fallen out of a piece of jewelry!

Hafted scraper and blunted Lecroy?

I found these two dudes (and a cool clear quartz crystal) at one of my sites here in central NC and I'm scratching my head over them.

The quartz point only seems to be worked on the stem and one side and I don't see a clear break. The bifurcated point is dull too, so I figured it was blunted.

Thoughts?

Hardaway blade?

I found this today at one of my sites in central NC. It definitely seems to have a bit of an auricular base, and there's a break on the other "ear", though I could provide more pics. It's 45 mm long, 30 mm wide, and 7 mm thick so it falls square into the average measurements. No sign of a flute either, so I don't think Clovis or something related.

Maybe? Or is it just a broken preform?

Mid NC. I took all my best points and arranged them chronologically.

Hopefully everything is in the right place! The top right one I typed as a Kirk Stemmed, though the opinion is split on that or Savannah River.

As for the side-notched pieces, the most recent NC literature I read has them placed at mid-archaic, so in between the transition period from Guilford to Savannah River.

I'm happy with how it turned out, I hope you all are too!

Point in the next photo + the rest of the haul today.

I had one of my best days in a *very* long time today. We're in a bit of a drought here in the NC piedmont, so more of the shoreline was exposed today.

For reference, the point in the photo is I *think* a Lecroy, early archaic, 8500-9500 years old.

Here's my best guesses for the rest of the points: Late archaic stemmed point, maybe Thelma? (3000-3500 years old), Guilford stemmed (5000-6000 years old), a broken biface made out of an absolutely wild looking rhyolite, Kirk corner-notched (10,000ish years old), lecroy (a bit younger than the Kirk corner-notched), and I think a broken savannah river.

I wanted to share the video of me finding the quartzite palmer from the other day.

I botched the ID, but I'm pretty proud of myself for spotting it, it was hiding in the weeds!

Found some awesome quartz pieces today, a beautiful Yadkin and blade and my first quartzite piece! I was almost thinking hardaway palmer, but chances are it's probably a palmer, right?
