Refueling after runs and cycles

Still very much new to bikejoring (and canicross) started CaniX just under 2yrs ago but due to my own health problems unfortunately have been on and off with running. Started bikejoring a year ago, found it much kinder on my body while battling a flare up but luckily back on track now. That being said, we’re training for some races now!

Been running minimum 15km a week without struggle (so far) and cycling as we normally do and cycling minimum around 15km a week as we have been for around a year now. My girl is on raw food, keeping weight on nicely and is consistent in her weigh ins at hydrotherapy so she’s on track but as we’re looking into racing, our distances in the week will likely start increasing soon. I would just like to make sure I’m refuelling her appropriately after runs or cycles.

Just wondering if there’s anything I can add or a specific ‘treat’ to give her post exercise?

We currently feed 500g raw a day (she’s 23kg), additionally she gets raw salmon chunks once it twice a week, cottage cheese a couple times a week and also an egg added a few times a week too as well as her normal fruits and veggies. Her food is balanced, monitored by a veterinary nutritionist! She also gets other treats to help her settle at night such as fish skin chews, rabbit ears etc

I will be asking her veterinary nutritionist at some point but thought I’d reach out here first before I spend the money on an extra consultation.

Resources in Video Format

Hi all, I did my best to search through this page for what I’m looking for but for the life of me couldn’t find what I’m looking for so I apologise if this is a duplicate post!

I’m looking for several resources to learn more about witchcraft and my practice. Main topics: the history of witchcraft and paganism, pagan holidays and how they’re celebrated, general basics of witchcraft and spell work.

I’m specifically looking for things in video format, I’m dyslexic and really struggle with reading books. I can do it if I really need to but I know I will absorb information much better and easier in video format. If anyone has specific videos they recommend, it would be much appreciated. I have had a look through the recommended YouTubers list linked on the page which has been fantastic but I’d really like some videos that can go really in depth of the history of witchcraft.

Not just the witch trials and how women were persecuted but the actual practice of magic and witchcraft before the modern era.

Thank you.

What furniture to put a tank on?

I’m planning to get a 10g (shallow/long) for a rescue Betta, I’ve seen tons of videos or posts about how some people’s furniture starts bowing or bending when a tank is placed on top and want to prevent this from happening.

I know the general consensus will be “get a fish tank stand” which I’m happy to do if this is the only option but I’d at least like it to match the rest of my furniture. Ideally something that doesn’t scream “this is a fish tank stand” but more so something that won’t stand out. Cupboard, chest of drawers, dresser etc style if that makes sense? Something that can also be used as storage and that I can safely place a fish tank on top of.

Potential fin rot

The Betta I’m trying to rescue (belongs to a family member) appears to have fin rot. He has been kept in filthy water, every inch of the tank covered in algae, kept with low quality plastic decorations that I’m sure have scratched his fins.

I’m doing what I can with him, changing water, doing my best to clean the tank while I work on getting him into my care and upgrade his tank. In the meantime, how can I help him?

No judgement please, I’m trying really hard to get him into my care and out of the home he’s in currently but it’s taking a while to convince his current owner.
