Comparison is the thief of joy but mkc
Hi. This might sound like a pretty meaningless rant but when is a rant ever meaningful.
So basically I'm a 2025 graduate currently making 20lpa. Just saw an interview of one of my acquaintances from school days who got into IITD and cracked Optiver with a package of 2.1cr pa.
My first instinct was, f*ck, it will take me 10 years to reach that number atleast and it's just making my mind go brrrr...
I'm watching Brazil vs Norway right now and I had been waiting all day to watch this and I'm not even able to enjoy it now.
To the folks over here, I want to ask, how do you guys not get into this comparison rabit hole. I mean there are others who are making more than me, but then somebody my age, who's not a bloody influencer or celebrity, followed the same JEE path and still is at such a crazy income difference.
It's making me sad, angry, regretful all at the same time. I'm trying not to think about it, but it's just making me more restless.
