When should you seek treatment?

Hi, baby HS over here.

Disclaimer: I (17F) spotted my first of many boils when I was about 9, and as it progressed, did some digging to try to understand what was causing them. I later determined it was most likely HS—so technically, I do not have a diagnosis. Despite this, throughout my discussion I will be referring to it as HS, since it still seems most probable. :)

Question: My condition is seemingly worsening, and I believe I’m entering stage two. As stated, I’ve never received any medical care for it, and I’m curious: is seeking out treatment worth it? Considering (as you all know,) its chronic and degenerative nature, would potentially slowing down its progression be worth the cost and time? I’m not particularly sure of what the treatment process would look like, nor the cost anything, and I’m just curious if it’s worth the effort. Just looking for guidance and wisdom 🙏. Thank you all
