Combining a home theater system with a turntable and Sonos – is that a practical option?
Hi everyone,
While looking for a turntable, I followed the advice in this Reddit post.

I’m currently in the process of putting together a home theater system and a turntable. As is so often the case in life, it all comes down to what you want.
In a perfect world, you could combine both into one system. I’m aware that the hi-fi rabbit hole goes pretty deep and that a home theater system and a sound system for a turntable are different areas with different priorities.
My goal is to get the best of both worlds so I don’t end up with four different speakers in the living room for different systems—not to mention the cost factor 😃.
I already have a Sonos Beam Gen 2 in the living room. Separate from that, I have a Sonos Era 100 in my kitchen. I’m very happy with the Sonos devices and would like to build my home theater system around them.
I’ve read here that the Era 100 can’t function as both a surround sound system and a turntable speaker at the same time (apparently the stereo function turns off).

I already had a turntable (https://amzn.eu/d/0hoIM5Dk) that I was very happy with as an entry-level model. Right now, I’m looking at the ProJect T1 evo turntable paired with two Sonos Era 100 speakers.
My budget is around €1,500.
Do you have any ideas on how to get the best possible results from both systems?
