I am 48 years old and currently pursuing SSDI. I have lumbar radiculopathy with documented left leg weakness, sensory deficits, gait abnormalities, and foot dragging, along with MRI evidence of nerve-root compromise.

For those familiar with SSA Listing 1.15, how important was a positive straight-leg raise test and documentation of a medically necessary wheelchair or walker in your case? Did SSA find you met the listing, or were you approved another way?

I’m trying to better understand how SSA evaluates Listing 1.15 in real-world cases.
