As the title states, I'm getting my first Xolair injection at my allergist's office this morning...

A bit of background is I have:

• Anaphylactic allergy to all nuts
• Really bad seasonal allergies which cause things like oral allergy syndrome
• More recently, exercise-induced urticaria that on two occasions has turned into anaphylaxis

I'm pretty terrified of going into anaphylactic shock from Xolair, and I've read about a lot of negative experiences here on Reddit.

I'd love to hear about some positive experiences, especially with people who have similar allergies or reasons for getting on the medication as I do. Also, how quickly did it start working for you, and did you experience any other side effects?
