I live in the bay area and I want to do a 3rd cat delete on the lotus emira. How likely would I get caught for this during emissions testing? Would I have to swap it back to stock and then do the test or keep it an hope they don't notice the different pipe?

Hi all, I’m thinking about buying a used Emira First Edition (inline-4), but I’m not sure if it’s smarter to get the launch/First Edition car or just go for a used 2025 non-launch version instead.

I’ve heard both good and mixed things about the early cars — mostly electrical quirks, rattles, warning lights, etc. Curious how common those issues actually are.

Should I get a 2024 First Edition or a 2025?
