I built an Australian tax expense tracker app to organize receipts and work expenses & end of year just export & send it to Tax agent
Every financial year I'd tell myself I'd keep better records.
Then tax time would arrive and I'd be searching through:
- Email receipts
- Paper receipts
- Bank transactions
- Notes and spreadsheets
Trying to remember what was actually work-related and what wasn't.
So I built RefundMate Tax Expense Tracker Offline app for australia.
It's an Android app designed for Australians who want a simple way to track work expenses and keep receipts organised throughout the year.
RefundMate helps you:
- Track work-related expenses
- Store receipt photos
- Organise records by financial year
- Review expense history
- Export records when needed
- Keep everything available offline
It's useful for employees, contractors, freelancers, sole traders and gig workers who want to stay organised without relying on spreadsheets.
I intentionally kept it simple:
- No bank account connections
- No financial account linking
- Works offline
- Data stays on your device
I'm looking for honest Android-user feedback:
- Would you use an app like this instead of spreadsheets?
- Is the value proposition clear from the Play Store listing?
- Does keeping data on-device increase your trust?
- What features would you expect from a tax expense tracker?
- What would make you uninstall it within the first 5 minutes?
Play Store:

I'd genuinely appreciate blunt feedback on the concept, onboarding, UI, and whether this solves a real problem for Australian taxpayers.
