Hi friends, Ive been taking Mounjaro 2.5 since January. Everything was fine, however the insurance , Medicare Aetna, now says they won’t pay for it unless I go up to 5 mg. I’ve been on the 5 mg for about three months. Rather than give it a long story, my bottom line question is if the 5 mg mounjaro is interacting with the mounjaro would they accept a waiver or something from the doctor so I could go back to 2.5.

Everything was fine until I started on this new medication in April. Cardiologist said there’s no known interaction between the two, but that I should discuss it with my endocrinologist. Unfortunately, because of my health issues. It’s the only medication (Fludrocortisone) I can take.
