Title: How do you guys validate affiliate programs for SEO-heavy projects?

I am transitioning from pure organic SEO to affiliate marketing and focusing on iGaming. I am currently working with expired domains and organic traffic, so I am very sensitive to tracking accuracy and data transparency.

I am testing ODDX right now because their reporting allows me to break down traffic segments quite well, which is crucial for my SEO experiments.

However, I am curious: for those of you who work with organic traffic, what are your primary red flags when testing a new affiliate program? Aside from the first payment, do you have any specific metrics or technical checks you run to ensure the data in the dashboard is not being manipulated?

Would appreciate any advice on vetting programs for long-term SEO play.

Why does it feel so much harder to convert cold traffic lately?

Honestly curious to hear your take on this. Lately, I’ve been feeling like the old-school ways of running traffic just aren't hitting like they used to.

It used to feel straightforward: set up a campaign, get the clicks, see the conversions. Now, it just feels like a constant gamble. Either the platforms are throttling reach for no reason, or people are just so desensitized to ads that they scroll past everything, even if the offer is actually solid.

It feels like everyone has developed a permanent immunity to anything that even smells like an ad. The moment you try to push something directly, you either get ignored or get hit with instant pushback.

For those of you still scaling-how are you guys navigating this? Does direct advertising still have the same weight, or is it all about building a personal brand and organic trust now? Would love to hear how you guys are holding up in 2026.
