Hello everyone, I hope this post is allowed because I'm just unable to find solid information online about my particular issue.

I thought my MB had 2 M.2 slots but, it only has one. the only other available slot on the MB is a Gen 3 X 1 PCie slot. I have a WD SN850X 1TB.

I know the 3 X 1 PCie slot is going to limit it speeds, but I want to know if this will be fast enough for game storage and loading - which should be around 1GB/s according to the internet.

can anyone shed some light? have you had something similar happen?
