Guideline for EBT/Stamps?

I just was approved for food stamps and I was wondering what kind of basic guidelines there are for food stamps? I’m fairly certain each state has different requirements/rules for specific things you can and can’t buy and how it works on checkout and such. I’m autistic and any research I’ve done has been super unclear for me and I’m left very confused. Could someone kinda explain to me how it works? Do you use the card you get kinda like a debit card when you go to check out? What specifically can and can’t I buy? And are there any specific state rules I should know?

Thanks for the help

help with groceries

I recently moved out to a new apartment and I haven’t been able to apply for food stamps yet, I need groceries desperately and since I have POTS and autism, I usually rely on my mother to help me financially with groceries since I am unable to afford it myself with my rent. I recently asked her to help me this week and she pretty much kept coming up with excuses on why she couldn’t spare anything for groceries for me. I have been panicking since I have no way else to get groceries and I don’t have access to produce or frozen or canned meals that fit both my nutrient requirements and sensory needs. I also have two cats that I have to take into account as well for groceries. I don’t have easy access to food pantries nearby due to being unable to drive and my disability, I should be able to get everything sorted by next week but I beg please for just this week. I just need it for this week and it would be a huge relief for me DM me if needed, I typically have to have things delivered and I use a rolling wagon to haul it upstairs to my apartment
